Take Your Garmin to the Next Level with These New Bands

In the decade-plus we’ve been designing Apple Watch bands, we’ve learned a thing or two about what separates a good band from a great one. We’ve weighed the pros and cons of different materials, tested the security of various clasps, and carefully fine-tuned colorways. 

Now, we’re excited to finally bring that experience to Garmin. Introducing Sport Band and Rocky Point Band, redesigned from the ground up with Garmin users in mind.

Garmin users ask a lot from their gear. Their watches come along for long runs, steep climbs, open-water swims, and more. Knowing this, we prioritized the qualities that matter most when gear has to perform: durable materials, thoughtful design, and a secure, comfortable fit. Here’s a closer look at how we put those ideas into practice.

Both Sport Band and Rocky Point Band are made from compression-molded FKM, a high-performance rubber known for resisting heat, sweat, and UV exposure. It’s durable enough for demanding activities yet flexible enough to contour comfortably around your wrist. Both bands are 100% waterproof, which means they perform through sweaty workouts, rainy runs, ocean swims, and more. 

From there, the bands take different approaches to keeping your Garmin securely on your wrist. Sport Band uses a custom pin-and-tuck closure that’s low-profile yet secure, while Rocky Point Band uses a traditional buckle ideal for higher-impact activities where security matters most.

We designed Sport Band for users who want one band that can keep up with their whole day. The lightweight FKM construction stays soft and flexible on your wrist, making it comfortable enough for all-day wear. When your workout heats up, full-length ventilation channels help move moisture away from your wrist so you can stay cool and comfortable. 

A wide range of adjustment holes lets you fine-tune the fit, whether you prefer a snug fit for training or a little more room for daily wear. The pin-and-tuck closure keeps the band securely in place without adding unnecessary bulk, while the aluminum closure pin locks into place and the excess band tucks underneath for a streamlined look and feel. 

When it’s time to switch things up, Garmin’s QuickFit system makes changing bands quick and easy. Pull back the lever, swap your band, and get going.

Ideal for: Everyday wear, running, training

Compatibility: ​​Works with any Garmin watch that uses a 22mm QuickFit band

While Sport Band’s great for daily wear and training, Rocky Point Band is better suited for high-impact activities like mountain biking and surfing. Designed specifically for Garmin’s larger 51mm watches, it combines a rugged FKM body with Grade 4 titanium hardware for a substantial, durable feel. 

When you’re navigating rough terrain, a secure fit allows you to focus on the trail, not your gear. Rocky Point Band pairs a classic titanium buckle with a QuickFit-compatible connection to keep both the band and your Garmin firmly in place through every bump and jostle.

Security was a main focus during product development, but we didn’t forget about comfort. A Z-shaped transition section contours snugly around your wrist, while ventilation channels keep airflow high and moisture buildup low.
